  Quarantine Fatigue

With the convergence of the lockdown, the social upheavals, and the unrelenting summer heat something gotta give. And what's gonna give is our psychophysical well being. To put it simply—we're getting overstressed.

Nowadays, they are beginning to call it by a number of names—one I heard was "quarantine fatigue." Regardless what's going on is stress, as they call it in medical circles, or strain, as they call it in engineering circles.

Mostly, it's about not getting out much. Staring at the walls, watching Netflix, fiddling with Zoom—there's just something so two dimensional about it.

But I have done some kayaking and bike riding and maybe once a week, visiting the daughters and grand kids.

The YMCA had been open for lane swimming but that's closed again. Could be worse.

Hope all's well with you.

Thanks,
Al
